Nothing fits, not even shoes

Remember I said you're never too fat for shoes? Well, the inverse happened to me today.

I had lunch with some friends this afternoon, then we popped over to the local shoe store to check out the sandals (yay!). I found a fabulous pair of Liz Claiborne Mary Janes, on sale for $29. They only had one size left -- and it was a half-size too big. I loved these shoes, man. They would have been perfect. Nice, slutty heel, yet a classy shoe overall. Sigh. So close. I've been shoe-obsessed lately, spending time on eBay looking for an affordable pair of Manolo Blahnik sandals. Yeah, and MONKEYS MIGHT FLY OUT OF MY BUTT.

Then I went over to the mall to check out the Talbots semiannual sale. Nothing looked good. Ann Taylor? Same business. Banana Republic was meh. So I just bought some SPF 50 sunblock for M (sun exposure is very, very bad for lupus, dontchaknow) and came the hell home. Sigh. Back on the weight-loss merry-go-round again.
