The smell from a grill can spark up nostalgia

I just went over to the local McDonald's to grab a salad, and when I walked in, the fries cooking, burgers frying and greasy aroma ganged up on me to give me an olfactory walk down memory lane. I worked at Choke n' Puke (as we affectionately called it) back in the day as my first job. I was instantly transported to my sixteenth year on this planet, taking care of hungry lunchgoers, slipping on the grease on the floor and going out after work with my coworkers. Amazing how that works.
