Good day, sunshine

I woke up this morning, looked out the window and actually heard birds singing. And the sun was shining! Only New Englanders who have lived through one of our winters can understand how amazing that seems.

I am really happy today. Just full of peace and good feelings. Why? Well, if you insist on knowing my bliss, there are a couple of reasons:

1) Tomorrow night: Me, M and Hall and Oates. Was digging on their greatest hits on the way to work this morning. They rock, and it's gonna be a lot of fun. Will post a review later this week.

2) M and I had a great night. We snuggled up, we watched Super Nanny (and swore we'd be better parents when the time comes). And we had one of our good talks. He is my favorite person in the world to talk to. He finishes my sentences for me. It's a little frightening. Yet incredibly comforting.

3) Spring is coming! Our lawn is greening up again, and I swear I saw some bulbs pushing through the dirt. I went a little apeshit with the bulbs when we first moved in. But I've been reaping the benefits ever since.

Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up and feel like ass. Maybe something will come along today to ruin my good mood. But for right now, I am happy as a pig in shit. And I'm going to enjoy it.
