Sucking away

No, not my life. I just spent a good hour in the yard using my outdoor vacuum, sucking up leaves and other such crap from the winter. I've already picked up a bag and a half (remember, it grinds everything up fine), and there's plenty more where that came from.

We're having my parents and brother and sister-in-law over next weekend to celebrate Mother's Day, since my parents will be away for actual Mother's Day. I want the house to look halfway presentable, and yesterday was inside day. I vacuumed everywhere, changed the filters in my air purifier, took down the curtains and washed them and ironed them (only to discover the iron was d-e-d -- you see how much I press things), washed all the floors, did all the laundry and put it away and cleaned all the glass. Yes, I am anal, but I do have bad allergies, and when the house is clean, it makes a big difference. Plus, I enjoy it more.

Out to Home Depot, then maybe I'll take a nap. :)
