The best gift of all
So. Christmas. Was really great. M hooked me up hardcore with a bunch o' CDs I'd been craving, as well as seasons 1 and 2 of Grey's Anatomy. Lots of gift certs, too.
But the best gift? My dad put some scratch tickets in a card. We scratched. Duds. There was one $5 one left. Scratch -- and I won all 10 prizes. I'm talking more money than they can cash at the local convenience store (but not so much I won't be at work tomorrow), so it was to the lottery office we went. We then headed to the bank, and then to Home Depot, where we were able to replace our stove and over-the-range microwave, with money left over for a nice trip to Italy next year. Score!
