I feel like the last marathon runner
But dammit, at least I finished -- the mulch, that is. It only took me three months and a whole lot of nagging by M to spread two yards. It looks great, but the real kick in the ass is that I could have used a few wheelbarrows more. Ah well. At least I can back out of my driveway without pirouetting around a mulch pile.
It was so beautiful yesterday that I worked in the yard for four-plus hours, pulling and disposing of weeds, trimming my roses, sweeping the driveway, watering and fertilizing my plants and yes, spreading the mulch. Such a sense of accomplishment, and the yard looks great. And I'm not as sore as you would think today. Good times.
