Mmmm, cheesecake...

So we finally got to the Cheesecake Factory tonight for my mom's birthday. It was a GD 45-minute wait for a table even at 3 p.m. on a Sunday. Nuts. Anyway, I got my usual portobello burger with fries and the PUMPKIN PECAN cheesecake for dessert. M got this chicken-shrimp-curry-rice dish that he loved and a hot fudge sundae for dessert. Mom got this amazing apple dumpling thing. Sooo good. She got teary at the end of the meal and thanked us all for taking her out. Awww...

So we went to see my aunt last night, who was in town from Florida. We had a huge dinner with my grandma and aunts and uncles, then we went up to my bro's Halloween party. Apparently, after we left, my cuz revealed that his wife is pregnant. Holy crap, my 89-year-old grandmother of 11 is about to become a great-grandma. There was much celebrating all around. Someday it will be our turn...

So tomorrow's Halloween. We finally put up our Tahget ahch, and half the damn lights were burned out. So I ran here and grabbed some $1 lights to string on in its place. Woohoo. I hope we get a lot of kids. I'm taking M to the doc tomorrow, so I need to go in hella early so I can leave early. Then I'm going to come home and carve my pumpkin for the kids and get the candy RTG. Hee hee hee.

I wish I had known about the haunted house Jody mentions, because that sounds like a lot of fun. Ah well. Soon we'll all be getting ready for Christmas. Can't wait!
