Winter warmed over no more

My mom, dad and bro came over on Saturday for an early Mother's Day celebration. My mom took one look around my yard and said, "You've got a lot of cleanup to do!"

So we took action, Jackson. M stayed up until midnight on Saturday cutting the back grass. Then I went to a bridal shower today while he cut the front grass. I changed out of my linen suit and sucked up two big bags of liquefied leaves. Three hours in my front yard, my friends. We have a majestic birch tree in the front yard, and its leaves get stuck in all my bushes and flowers, so it's a job for the blower/vac combo. There's more work to do, of course -- anyone who owns a house knows the yardwork is never really done -- but it looks like winter is over out there. And I am sore as an MF, but I am happy. Hooray!
