Po' Ike

M and I often quote the sketch on SNL when Tim Meadows, playing Ike Turner, yells at Kevin Nealon and then tries to give him roses: "Everyone's always picking on po' Ike," he says. Now po' Ike has died. He surely was a musical legend, but definitely not a nice guy. I do think the movie What's Love Got to Do with It made him into more of a villain than he really was. In any case, rest in peace, Ike.
