A glad day
M and I really, really love the Berkshires. Before Boo was born, we spent many a weekend trolling around its hills and vales, on what we call a nature ride. When we retire, we plan to build a house out there -- although, as they say, if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.
Anyway, on one such trip, we were driving along and came upon a roadside stand. It was filled with gladiolas of every color imaginable and an honesty jar to leave $1 for each glad stem you wanted. Absolutely glorious flowers. They were fresh from someone's yard, full of bugs and everything. I bought a few in several colors and put them in a vase when we got home. I still remember the pure joy of finding that on the side of the road.
Happy weekend, everyone. And may you have a glad moment of your own.
