A post before the company clean begins

M and I are having some of his work people over for dinner tonight, so you'd best be believing my house will be sparkling clean. I've picked up some and done some laundry, but I need to go whole hog. Also need to touch up the paint in the bathroom, since M pulled our cup dispenser off the wall and left a loverly hole in the drywall, which he patched and sanded. Now it looks like ass and needs to be painted. But it's gonna make a mess, so I'm procrastinating.

I love it when my house is clean, clean, clean. And despite my messy childhood, I have become quite the clean freak. My OCD makes me terrified of germs (that's always been the case), so I antibacterialize religiously. I do tend to strew and pile stuff around the house, but I occasionally will just declare war and pitch stuff willy-nilly.

Anyway, M is making a maple-glazed turkey for dinner with a rice accompaniment. Our guests are bringing bread and dessert. Should be fun and low-key. Tomorrow I think we may head down to the auto show. We need to start checking out the options for a new car. Then I'm having dinner with the mentee. I love weekends like this -- one busy day and one lay-around-and-do-nothing day. Rockin'.
