Quick takes

I heard about these acrylic wafers you can turn into plates this morning on the radio. Kewl. I hate washing dishes.

Happy Yom Kippur to my Jewish readers. I don't envy your having to fast. :) Us Catholics just go to confession and get rid of our sins. Of course, like most Jewish holidays, you get to eat at the end.

M is having a severe allergic reaction to the anticonvulsant he's taking, Dilantin. He's taking Prednisone and applying a topical steroid cream to the rash, which covers his whole body. He's also seeing the neuro this morning to switch him to a different drug. My poor baby. Other than being up 20 pounds due to the edema in his legs and being exhausted from lugging all that extra weight around, he actually feels OK. No fever, thank God.

My mom and I are going apple picking this weekend while my dad and M hang out doing guy things and gimping around. (My dad's still recovering from hernia surgery and is not at 100 percent.) I wish it were the weekend already.

I'm taking my mentee to the new Kohl's they just opened tonight. Can't wait to see it.

I've been driving M's car, which has a CD player in it rather than the crappy tape deck I have in the Focus. I forgot how much I love the Alanis album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. Not one of her more popular albums, though.
