The first blog post of 2008

As predicted, I fell asleep at 11 last night. Woke up at 1 a.m., turned to M and said happy new year, and then went back to sleep. We didn't do much -- just went to the Outback for dinner and then came home and chilled while M watched the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Today, we're watching it snow and doing house projects.

I really try not to make resolutions anymore, but in case you want to clean up your vocabulary, here's a list of 18 words that have been banned from the Queen's English.

One more thing -- I try to be really careful when I write, whether it be a quick e-mail or an article for my magazine/Web site. When I see writing on the Web, I notice tons of misspellings, etc. Really turns me off. There's this little thing called the spell checker, people. Use it.
